Alfuzosin is not prescribed for the treatment of hypertension.
Alfuzosin is prescribed for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Alfuzosin recommended dosage is one 10 mg tablet daily to be taken immediately after the same meal each day. The Alfuzosin tablets
should not be chewed or crushed.
Alfuzosin should not be used in patients with moderate or severe hepatic insufficiency, (Childs-Pugh categories B and C) since
alfuzosin blood levels are increased in these patients.
